Customer Service Issues
Many customers have expressed disappointment with the customer service experience provided by Mattioni. A reviewer, Shawn Wagner, scheduled an AC tune-up and was left waiting around for hours only to be told that the technician couldn't make it. Despite being a paid member of their subscription service, the company didn't make any effort to reschedule or apologize for the inconvenience.
Shoddy Workmanship
Another reviewer, Alex Barquist, had a negative experience with Mattioni's technician who told him that his furnace had a faulty heat exchanger and was leaking carbon monoxide into the house. However, after conducting his own tests with a quality CO meter, he found no evidence of CO leaks. The company also tried to convince him to replace his furnace despite the lack of evidence, and quoted him a higher price than local competitors.
Overcharging
Neil Baltus had a service call to assess a sewer smell in a half bathroom, but was shocked to be told that changing the wax ring would cost $500. When he asked if they could tighten the toilet instead, the technician said it would require changing the wax ring. He felt that the price was unreasonable and refused the service. However, after receiving a call from the company's management team, they refunded the service call fee.
Incompetent Technicians
Andrew Hitchner had a negative experience with a Mattioni technician who claimed to have found a gas leak and tried to charge him $600 for a repair. However, two other companies that were called to the scene found no evidence of a leak. The reviewer suspects that the Mattioni technician tried to deceive him into buying unnecessary repairs.

Despite the negative experiences, one reviewer, ABrocavich, had a positive experience with Mattioni. They replaced their sewer line and trap, and the company's technicians did a great job and completed the work in a single day.
