Local 152

UA Local 152 was chartered on April 14, 1934, in Morgantown, WV. We are a combination Plumber and Pipefitter local covering 18 counties in north central WV. Our strong background in coal-fired power generation plants includes five operating plants within our jurisdiction. We have also been successful in commercial Building Trades construction work, including colleges, public schools, and office buildings. The development of the Marcellus Shale gas field exploration and development has been a significant factor in our prosperity, with the construction of natural gas processing plants and compressors for midstream developers. Our dedication to meeting the challenges of future demands within the plumbing and pipefitting industries is unwavering.

Mission

Founded in 1889, the United Association is one of the most respected and influential building trades unions in the U.S. and Canada today. It serves as a collective voice for workers through negotiation and collective bargaining with employing contractor groups. The UA is also a key member of the Building and Construction Trades Department, the AFL-CIO, and the Canadian Federation of Labour. Our mission is to ensure the highest standards of training, safety, and benefits for our members.

The United Association

The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada is a multi-craft union with approximately 340,000 members across North America. We pride ourselves on our premier training programs, including five-year apprenticeship programs, extensive journeyman training, organized instructor training, and certification programs. Our General Officers are elected by delegates at a convention held every five years, ensuring member representation at the highest level.
